Welcome to the NewLinuxUser Distro Review Page.
This section of the site contains all of the reviews I have ever done on various Linux (and one BSD) distributions.  I got addicted to distro hopping and decided to try out as many as I could, given my limited resources at the time.  All of the reviews in each section are listed in the order that I did the review.  Each review takes into account how easy (or not) it was for a newbie to use.  Each distro I tried got a grade from me based in two parts, how it looked and how easy it was to use.

The reason I take looks into account on a distro is that often times, for a desktop user, it's the eye-candy that will draw a person in to try it out.  The other factor is how easy it was to use from a newbie's point of view, the whole purpose behind this site.

This first set of reviews, in Section One, was done with a Dell Desktop PC, a Dimension 1100 with a Celeron D processor (1.5 GHz) and 256MB of memory.

The second set of reviews, in Section Two, was done with an Acer Aspire 5515 with an AMD Athlon processor (64bit) and 3 GB memory.
